Book TJ Hassell is the author of “The Travel Letters,” the first of three novels in her literary fiction series of the same name. Each of the three are set in the Ozark Mountains. Her second novel, “A Habit of Keeping Secrets,” won the 2024 Appy Inkwell Award for Best Fiction at the Appalachian Writers Conference. This volume, “A Fortunate Turn,” is the final work in the series.
